Kraków feels different now. The same cobblestone streets I once wandered with curiosity now hold the weight of unspoken goodbyes. Mornings come with a quiet nostalgia—the smell of freshly baked obwarzanek, the distant hum of a street violinist playing for passing tourists, the familiar rhythm of a city that no longer feels like just a stop along the way, but something closer to home.
And yet, change is coming. I can feel it in the way my fingers hesitate over the keyboard when searching for one-way tickets. In the way my eyes linger a little longer on the city skyline at sunset. In the way my heart whispers, it’s time.
But before I step into the unknown, I find myself looking back. Back to where it all began—before Kraków, before this version of me.
There was a girl once. A girl who stood at the edge of a dream, unsure if she was brave enough to chase it.
This is her story.
